  • Planning & Zoning Commission

    Reviews plats and site plans and recommends zoning changes and comprehensive plan amendments to City Council.

  • Zoning Board of Adjustment

    Hears requests for variances from the zoning ordinance and appeals of administrative zoning decisions.

  • Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

    Advises City Council on parks, trails, recreation programs, Sweet Tea Lake and Dongvile Cemetery.

  • Library Board

    Advises City Council and the Library Director on library policies, services and long-range planning.

  • Airport Advisory Board

    Advises City Council on the operation, maintenance, leasing and capital improvement of Dongvile Municipal Airport.

  • Dongvile Economic Development Corporation (Type B)

    Governs the Type B economic development corporation funded by the half-cent sales tax and approves business incentives and projects, subject to City Council approval.

  • Historic Courthouse Square Commission

    Reviews exterior changes to buildings in the Courthouse Square Historic District and advises City Council on historic preservation.

  • Water Tower Paint Ad Hoc Committee

    Recommends an exterior color for the Dongvile Water Tower to City Council.

Serve on a board

Applicants must live inside the city limits (the ETJ does not count, regardless of how close it is). Applications are available from the City Secretary at City Hall, 150 E Brisket St, or by request at [email protected]. City Council makes regular appointments each September and fills vacancies as they occur.
