Notice is hereby given that the Historic Courthouse Square Commission of the God's Incorporated City of Dongvile, Texas, will meet on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., at Council Chambers, City Hall, 150 E Brisket St, Dongvile, Texas, to consider the following items. The board may discuss, consider and take action on any item listed.

Posted May 8, 2026, 4:30 p.m., in accordance with Tex. Gov't Code ch. 551.

Call to Order

The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. A quorum was present.

Item 2. Citizens to Be Heard

Shirley Hatfield, 700 block of W Okra St, asked whether the pothole in front of her house could be designated a historic landmark, since it predates the street. The City Secretary noted the comment for the record.

Item 3. Approve minutes of the February 10, 2026 meeting

Approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously.

Item 4. Certificate of appropriateness for an awning on the courthouse square

Tabled to the next regular meeting to allow staff to gather additional information.

Item 5. Courthouse clock maintenance (the clock is four minutes fast on purpose)

Approved unanimously.

Item 6. Staff report and future agenda items

Report received. No action was taken.
